Bloggers: Taking Over the World

I threw a link in my morning post that covered Bloggers talking about the importance of Bloggers. That seemed enough for that little story, but the more I look around the interweb this morning the more I think Bloggers are gonna need their own narcissistic post.

There was a post over on Fanhouse, basically Michael David Smith topping off Will Lietch of Deadspin. At the end of his rants and raves about how Lietch is on his way up , he also mentions his long standing relationship with Lietch as well as the fact he has worked for Leitch and is acknowledged in Leitch's new book. God Save The Fan. While I am a big fan of Leitch and Deadspin.I am not a big fan of blatant suckupery(don't worry it'll be a word eventually)

Dan Reed the President of the NBA D-League has a post up that pretty much centers around the internet, specifically bloggers, impact on the D-League. He acknowledges that some of the ideas that the league tries or at least kicks around trying, come form the internet. More specifically this years NBA D-League All-Star game will contain a HORSE competition. THis is an idea put forwward by Bill Simmons a few years ago and revisited recently. (Thanks to Hardwood Paroxysm who turned me on to this post)

While that last post clearly shows the good that Bloggers can do. We can do more. We can save the world... from Jim Fassel. At least Jim believes that. Check out his discussion of the fact that Bloggers cost him the Washington Redskin's head coaching job.
