Belichick Caught Filming Rams My Ex(s) Can Help

So apparently there was even more filming going on than was originally reported this year. There are unnamed sources being reported by ESPN. Apparently the Patriots filmed the walk through held the day prior to Superbowl. The Rams have made no Comment and the Patriots seem to be a little busy to discuss it today.

You know who Belichick is right now. He is that guy who wakes up at 4 in the morning to his girl sobbing at him as she go's back through his cell phone. "Who is this picture of", "Why do you need this picture " Now all of sudden it's all kinds of trouble. She is screaming at him "we went through this months ago" ,"You said that was all you had done you claimed we were starting fresh" "Now I am hearing things about you and your cheating ways again" "I told you , just tell me everything"

I am trying to be open minded about Belichick. I mean I have enjoyed the sense of humor I seen lately from him. He really could solve all this problem, just own up to everything all at once. Get this mess behind us. Let's move forward. (AHHHHH I sound like every Ex I've ever had)

St. Louis Rams Offseason

Though it has little to do with the on the field plans, I can hardly begin this without acknowledging the pasing of long time team owner Georgia Frontiere. I posted shortly after her passing so I wont re-hash it here.

The Rams have needs, not as many as a lot of teams, but you don't get the second pick in the draft without having some needs. The bright side is they are getting a better pick than they probably need only because the number of injuries they suffered caused them to lose more games than their talent probably dictates. In fairness to the situation though not all of those injuries were fluke. Old people get hurt, old people who play football get hurt often.

One of the areas where the Rams age was most pronounced was on the offensive line. When you are signing guys like Brandon Gorin and Todd Steussie off the street, you are in trouble. In fact let's just set that as the bar for your having a bad year on the offensive line. The Rams need to draft early on this side of the ball.

The other side of the trenches is not much stronger. When you starting defensive ends, combine for 3 sacks. That's all year folks. There are guys who pulled that many in a game. Hell, Patrick Kearney did it 3 different times this year. Obviously they need to shore up this spot. they also need to take some attention of their Linebackers who were underwhelming all year.

With thier needs they could take Jake Long (OT-Mich), or they could look to defense and go with Glenn Dorsey(DT-LSU) or Chris Long (DE-VA). If Miami is able to move the #1 pick then all three will be available. If Miami is still at #1 on draft day then one of those defensers will likely be gone. Either one that remains would be a good choice though and with this draft a lot deeper with offensive lineman as opposed to defense they could always wait til the second round to draft for the O-line.

Whatever the draft choices end up being you can expect Scott Linehan to be coaching for his job next season.

Georgia Frontiere Dies

Georgia Frontiere passed away today at the age of 80. She had been hospitalized due to suffering from breast cancer.
I do however have to say she was extremely detrimental to my early football life. I saw my first football game when my Vikings came to town and played the Rams in Anaheim stadium (I have no idea if that was the name at the time). This is one of my earliest memories and also one of my fondest as it was something I got to share with my dad. I never again got the opportunity as Frontiere opted to move the Rams to St. Louis. In what, at the time appeared to be a wholly self serving move. She however deserves all the credit in the world, it ended up being an extremely beneficial move for all those involved (except the Southern California fan). It was believed to be a financial mistake, to move the team to an area that had already failed. The actual results were quite unexpected. The city of St. Louis funded the stadium at 260 million dollar price tag. The team would eventually go on to win a championship. That team came to be known as “the greatest show on turf”.
My own personal feeling aside, she made an amazing contribution as a leader of that franchise. Considering she inherited the franchise from her husband Carroll Rosenbloom in 1979. It would be nice to see some of the owners in the NFL, who actually chose to purchase their teams. Put in the work to advance the cause of those teams as much as Frontiere did hers.
Commissioner Roger Goodell said of Frontiere “Georgia Frontiere was the first lady of sports in her native St. Louis. She returned pro football to St. Louis and brought the city its first Super Bowl championship. She had a deep love for her Rams and all the people who contributed to the success of her franchise and the NFL, especially former players. Her philanthropic work was legendary and wide ranging, but her special focus was retired NFL players and the arts. She was a talented and wonderful person. On behalf of the entire NFL, we extend our sympathy and prayers to her family and the Rams organization.”
